Puppy Boarding School
Our Puppy Boarding School is designed to start your puppy off on the right paw!
Your puppy will live with Mel, a Certified Trainer, for two weeks for consistent one-on-one training to build a solid foundation of confidence, obedience and socialization. Daily training sessions are tailored to the specific needs of you and your puppy. First half of the course is teaching the cues at home, and then reinforcing the learned cues out in public places such as local parks, coffee shops, and retail stores depending on your puppy’s comfort level. We want your dog to be your companion, so we will do what we can to make sure you and your dog can do as many things as possible together.
When it’s time for your puppy to go home, we will sit down with you to discuss the training your puppy has achieved, and we will work with you so you know how to work with your puppy. We will hold one session at pick up, and a second session in your home. We understand how hard it can be to part with your puppy. Progress photos, videos, and reports are included. Additionally, we will schedule phone calls to update you directly. And of course, you can reach out to your trainer at any time with questions.

Training sessions are kept short and sweet to keep them fun and engaging. Every puppy is different so we do not adhere to a strict schedule or guarantee completion of items by a certain time. Positive training methods rely on a happy, willing participant and sometimes we need to slow down or focus on certain areas we think the puppy needs more attention.
Every puppy student participates in a personalized training program. Our enrollment process begins with an in-home consultation in which we discuss your goals and evaluate your puppy’s temperament. This will help us develop a training plan.
Additional week/s may be required by the trainer depending on the unwanted behaviors your dog has made as habits. Some dogs require more or less time than others.
All training programs include useful handouts to set up for success and phone or e-mail guidance between sessions to ensure the highest quality of service and a full understanding of the training techniques.
We do require a $100 deposit for all Board and Train reservations, and payment of the first week when you drop your puppy off.
